The music
Slide guitar that cuts straight to the bone. Two records to start with — and a deep catalog on every streaming service.
Wake Up · new album · two volumes
A record about facing fear and grief, and the patterns we keep walking back into — cut across studios all over Michigan, arriving in two volumes. Vol. I is the walk toward it; Vol. II is what happens after.
Featuring The Crane Wives. Co-produced with Joe Hettinga (The Olllam). Songs written with Aaron Allen — whose songs Billy Strings, Paul Hoffman and Joshua Davis have cut — and with author and poet Russell Brakefield (Winter/Sessions). "In Transit" was recorded with Josh Rilko (Sierra Ferrell), PJ George (Old Crow Medicine Show) and Lindsay Lou, co-produced with Sam Kassirer. Much of it was made at the Bear Den, Mark's own studio.
No Part of Nothin'
Mark's earlier album — with Billy Strings playing on it. On 12" vinyl with painted cover art, and on CD.
